Restaurant Robot Waiter Service

Restaurant Robot Waiter Service is a robot positioned for hotel catering services and exhibition hall reception services.
It has a humanoid shape and can serve guests in restaurants, and can interact with guests in a quiet room with fixed-term voice.
Currently (2013), it has been put into trial operation in hotels.
It is usually 1.2~1.3 meters tall, moves steadily, and can realize the service of serving dishes in restaurants. It is a product with relatively mature technology among all service robots.
The food delivery robot can deliver dishes to designated tables according to instructions in a pre-set route, using a tracked or trackless form, and transfer the dishes to the table by the customer or waiter after a voice prompt. It can also be equipped with a cart to complete simple and repetitive physical work in the restaurant. The robot moves smoothly and can realize human-computer interaction. When encountering an obstacle, it will automatically stop in advance without touching the obstacle and issue voice prompts at the same time.

Emergency obstacle avoidance (when people and objects appear on the robot's forward route, the robot will stop urgently and resume walking after the obstacles disappear to prevent touching people and objects. The robot can sense objects at a height of half a meter, so as to prevent touching playing children);
7. Voice dialogue (can interact with guests with fixed terms in a quiet room). Since 2013, catering service robots have been trial-run in hotels. By listening to users' suggestions for improvement, catering service robots will become more intelligent and strengthen human-machine interaction, better fit the role of human's friend and partner, and successfully enter the market.
