Fruit Peeling Machine

Determine the type (apple/pear/kiwi, etc.), size, shape, and core position of the fruit, and adjust the fixture position through a servo motor.

Adopting a three jaw pneumatic fixture to adapt to different fruit shapes, ensuring stable fixation without damaging the flesh.

The fixture drives the fruit to rotate, and the circular knife group moves along the surface of the fruit in a similar shape (controlled by springs or air pressure) to ensure uniform peeling thickness.

Real time feedback from pressure sensors to avoid peeling too deeply; Irregular fruits such as mangoes can be tracked using a multi axis robotic arm to drive the peeler's trajectory.

After the fruit is fixed, a set of parallel circular blades (with adjustable spacing) are horizontally pushed forward to complete the cutting in one go. The blade material should be food grade stainless steel.

Automatically adjust the blade spacing based on the fruit diameter recognized by the visual system (e.g. 5mm/10mm optional).

Through high-precision visual detection of the position of fruit nuclei (requiring training dataset to label the region of fruit nuclei).

A hollow stainless steel tube knife (diameter adjusted according to the fruit) is used to advance along the central axis of the fruit core, while negative pressure adsorption is used to extract the fruit core.

The fruit is placed vertically, and the circular distribution of blades (such as 6 blades corresponding to 6 petals) shrinks radially for cutting. The number of slices can be preset through the program.

For flat core fruits, the process of cutting in half and then digging the core is adopted, combined with curved blades to adapt to the fruit shape.
